Neurofeedback brain training is a non-invasive, drug-free mind-body technique that records a patient’s brain activity using electrodes. The information that is recorded is displayed on a computer screen and guides the brain health coaching process. Clients are empowered to play an integral role in their personal healing through their responses to their own brain activity they observe and interact with on the screen.
Niina is passionate about helping people integrate negative experiences into their life story so that they are less affected by them. Some life experiences can contribute to low self-esteem, negative thoughts, feelings of depression or anxiety, and a whole host of other negative effects. To help alleviate these effects, Niina uses EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) therapy. EMDR helps clients return to the memories of these negative life experiences in order to gain new insights and beliefs about these experiences. EMDR can help individuals experience their memories in a new way that is much less distressing and that has much less control over their current life. Niina strongly believes that EMDR is one of the best ways to target how trauma and negative experiences affect our brain, mind, and body.
In addition to EMDR, Niina is also trained in neurofeedback. Neurofeedback can help retrain your brain so that it gets into a more regulated state. Many different mental health conditions have been correlated with patterns of dysregulated brain waves including Autism, ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. By targeting the activity of the brain waves with neurofeedback, many clients experience symptom reduction.
The combination of EMDR and neurofeedback is a powerful tool to address the different layers of a person including their brain, mind, and body. Some types of therapy may only address one of these layers, but Niina believes that it is the targeting of multiple layers that leads to the most healing and growth for her clients.
Along with working with clients who have experienced traumatic or negative life experiences, Niina has over a decade of experience working with neurodivergent clients. This includes those who have been diagnosed with Autism or ADHD. By combining behavioral strategies with self-regulation skills and neurofeedback, Niina has effectively helped clients with Autism and/or ADHD improve their overall functioning.

Jasmine Tan Pitman’s dual passions for helping others achieve optimal wellness and promoting the brain-mind connection, as the key to a person’s ability to reach their full potential, prompted her to start Brain Mind Wellness.
She became a certified hypnotherapist after experiencing the healing power of hypnotherapy. It was then that a passion to help others erupted inside her. She has helped guide her clients to learn to communicate with their subconscious selves to get where they want to be.
Jasmine says, “Hypnotherapy provides great results when it comes to mindset change; I started to notice that sometimes the problem lies in the function of the brain rather than one’s mindset. What if we can go even further and work with the problem where it originates — at the root?”
Jasmine, herself, had been personally bothered by tinnitus. And her daughter had been struggling to manage symptoms of ADD. She found startling success for both with neurofeedback that measured and trained their respective dysregulated brain waves. She then developed a unique approach to combine neurofeedback (brain) and hypnotherapy (mind) to help people achieve optimal wellness. She became a certified hypnotherapist, neurofeedback practitioner, and brain health coach because she believes that every person has the innate ability to heal themselves from within, once they learn how to harness the full potential of their brain/mind connection.
